After two years of construction, Boavista Golf opened to the public on January 1, 2002.
This 18-hole course, designed by Howard Swan MSc, offers great conditions for golf practice. The philosophy of its architect, to create a field as if it had always existed in that place, was applied in the construction of Boavista Golf, preserving and integrating its natural terrain.
The Boavista features two distinct sections offering an interesting variety of holes. From the first shot of exit to the last putt of hole 18 the field a huge variety of holes creating various challenges for any level of player.
Spectacular scenery over the Atlantic Ocean, visible from most of the holes, makes this course wonderful for any visitor.
During the construction several olive trees were replanted around the perimeter of the field that joined the almond and fig trees that existed there to which were also added some palm trees.
