Heerenveen, the Abe Lenstra Stadium, Thialf Event Hall are all 20 minutes' drive away. Leeuwarden is under 40 minutes' drive by car and Groningen is a 50-minute car journey from the hotel. Oldeberkoop is a charming village amidst the streams, situated between Linde and Tjonger. The central location makes Oldeberkoop an ideal starting point for excursions. Many routes for cars, bicycles, horses and pedestrians lead through this place.
Just a few kilometres away you’ll find the Drents Friese Wold, a vast area of about 4000 ha. with forests, heaths and sand drifts.

In 1989, after being occupied by many various residents, it was converted into the Bridge Hotel. Since then, the Lunia has had different owners and tourism functions. The current owners have brought it back from a Bed and Breakfast to an excellent Hotel Restaurant.
