Sur cette place se trouve le monument qui symbolise l'amitié italo-chilienne datant de 1910. Une plaque gravée indique: Pour l'amitié italo-chilienne '. L’Institut italien du commerce extérieur attribue à la communauté italienne du Chili et à la ville de Santiago la décoration en marbre de ce monument, symbole de l’amitié de nos peuples. Le sculpteur italien Roberto Negri a lancé cette sculpture en bronze, qui représente un ange debout avec un flambeau qui symbolise l'avenir et le lion représente le peuple chilien brisant les chaînes pour accéder à l'indépendance.

Un emplacement central à partir duquel vous pouvez rejoindre Cerro de San Cristobal en quelques minutes et le centre historique ou des affaires. Une grande place qui peut prendre beaucoup de temps pour traverser à pied en raison de son immensité et du trafic qui converge à cet endroit.
