Dans ce club, les fêtes les plus élégantes de l'aristocratie chilienne ont été développées. C'est l'endroit où les modèles sociaux, les modes et les coutumes ont été marqués.
Le Club de la Unión se caractérise par son fort style français du début du XXe siècle. L'harmonie et l'élégance de ses infrastructures en font l'un des plus beaux édifices du Chili. Les murs sont recouverts de marbre vert et blanc. Le bar est un autre "siège" du club. Le bar est en bois sculpté et est le plus long du continent.
La bibliothèque est l'une des plus importantes collections privées du pays, avec plus de 17 000 exemplaires.
