Without great official confirmations, the People call this building "Roman Bridge", but it could have been built after the Roman occupation, but built with contemporary materials or a previous building.
In fact, the toponym of the parish itself is associated with the Roman presence in the place, deriving from the Latin word "Fundana", a family of the time, probably having the Arab occupation of the territory added "to".
Located in Alfundão, Portuguese parish of the county of Ferreira do Alentejo.
This ancient bridge and sidewalk mark the importance that the Roman settlement gained to the region.
