In de Orada vertegenwoordigt de gemeenschapsoven in het produceren van brood het leven van de gemeenschap. Als de tijden van armoede waren, werd er weinig brood geproduceerd en allemaal geleden. Als de tijden overvloedig waren, was er veel brood en zou iedereen er baat bij hebben. Daarom was het noodzakelijk om hem te beschermen tegen de krachten van het kwaad en om de gunst van de godheid te verkrijgen. In het noorden van het land is er de traditie om een kruis op brood te tekenen. Bij Orada hebben we ervoor gekozen om een cruise te maken met dezelfde functie als beschermer van het eten en het leven in het dorp.
